As a Poultry Farm Hand, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks involved in the daily operations of our poultry farm. This includes caring for the chickens, maintaining facilities, and ensuring the overall health and well-being of the flock.

- Work will primarily be outdoors in various weather conditions and physical labour
- May require physical labour, exposure to animal waste, odours, and noise associated with farm environment
- May also come into contact with cleaning agents and disinfectants used in maintaining farm hygiene.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily care of chickens, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their
health and behavior. - Clean and maintain poultry housing and equipment to ensure a clean and hygienic
environment for the chickens. - Collecting and packing eggs.
- Assist in maintaining and repairing farm infrastructure, such as fences, chicken sheds, and
feeding systems. - Monitor and report any signs of illness or distress among the flock to the Operations
Manager. - Assist in handling chickens for vaccinations, tagging, or other necessary procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with biosecurity measures to prevent
disease outbreaks. - Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment as directed by the Operations
Manager. - Participate in general farm maintenance, such as cleaning, painting, and landscaping.
- Maintain accurate records of flock inventory, feed consumption, and egg production.
- Adhere to animal welfare guidelines and promote the ethical treatment of poultry.

Desired:
- Previous experience working on a poultry farm or related agricultural experience is preferred. But not necessary as all training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of poultry care, including feeding, watering, and disease prevention.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Excellent observation and attention to detail to identify signs of illness or distress in the flock.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions and report
- Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain farm machinery.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established protocols.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to maintain equipment in sheds.
